24 hours in Bahrain

Just got back from my first trip to Bahrain, wow what a great place.... They have a boz store with all the wine's that I have missed for so long. I also found Tuborg Gold who is THE beer ( danish of course). We bought 6 beers, and drove fast home ( had one in the car) to stuff them in the freezer. After 30 min they had the perfect temp and it only took me 45 min to finish them ... wow what a sens of freedom..!!!!
Went to club Zoe's later in the evening to celebrate my birthday... what a great club.. I would lofe to run a club like that, but not with out alcohol... no way I am serving a wonder meal with out good wine... Then came the shock.... the club is owned by a Kuwaiti...!!!!! How stupid is that... any way I had a great time and I would not say no to move there...

Bahrain I will be back....

Taste or Innovation

Driving to work everyday is quit scary, I don't think I have ever seen this color or any architectur building in Kuwait before. I don't really understand what they are trying to do. Get attention... enhance the structure....match a dress...?

One thing I have notice is all the people turning their heads and laugh...so you could say it has a good purpose, to make smiles...

Let us be honest, why is it that expats complain about staying in Kuwait?

Ok, for the recored I am not complaining. I am very happy with my life in Kuwait, I have a nice appartment, cool car and very good friends (all Kuwaiti) not to mention a productive job. But I understand why some are troubled with the life here. What if you dont have time to enjoy friends because you are working 10 -12 hours a day , 6 days a week? Friends who can show you the culture of Kuwait? (Red Label and the wonderful under cover life in the chalet)
Dont get me wrong it is nice and I am not complaining.
I know it is hard to change things around and things take time, but start with your self. Give the expat a chance to like you and your country.
Promote your culture with pride, endulge us in the FAB life off Kuwait and we will love it here.
And fore most of all dont complain your self.....

This is so stupid.
We all know that Lisa is right in many things. You all complain about Kuwait, so there most be something wrong. I see so many unhappy souls in Kuwait, but for some reason we stay, maybe because we don't know if the new place we choose is much better.
"Life is a box of chocolate, we never know what we gonna get".
One thing I know for sure, Lisa have had a lot to struggle with in Kuwait and so do I as an European. Kuwait is slow, big lack of creativity, culture activity, many Kuwaiti are rude and cruel and your known for it, but you dont care, so that mean we shouldnt speak up? And you are showing it right now on this page. Lisa are a good person and if she had a bad costumer I am sure she don't make it in to blog . So please grow up and face the music, people can have a bad day and be feed up of this country just like the rest of us, but it don't make her a bitch or a bad person. Yes I know that it is not nice to talk bad about Kuwait in front of you, but how are we going to make a change, if we don't discuss the problems?
Lisa has my full 100% support and I am truly shocked over these comments.
